Scandinavian style // Bedroom design

I have recently been making over my house room by room and I am currently focusing on the master bedroom. As a one income family we always have a tight budget, so I have to keep my ideas pretty thrifty. That said, investing in a few key pieces can really change the feel of a room.

My colour palette is soft greys and pinks to balance out the calming Scandinavian whites that I love.

I have put together a product board of how I would ideally achieve the look I am going for.

Products are from left to right and top to bottom.

I have completely fallen head-over-heels for grid bedding at the moment although it is notoriously hard to find. Cats and boys make this beautiful set that comes in every size you can imagine and it is handmade. How much I would love to own a set! You can buy it here.

The simple concrete candle holder takes pillar candles, dinner candles, tea lights and maxi tea lights, clever or what! I also love industrial style and this adds just a whisper without it being over the top. Buy them from Clas Ohlson here.

I already have a cute pink vase from House Doctor on my dressing table, you can achieve a similar look with these gorgeous cups by Lenneke Wispelwey from Smug here.

I have been in love with lights with coloured cords and oversized light bulbs for about 2 years. My husband has treated me to some for my birthday as we found Clas Ohlson sell them in a huge range of colours for a fraction of the cost other shops sell them for. The light cords are here and the bulbs are here.

One thing I will definitely be buying from Naked Lunge with my birthday money is one of these Serax candle holders. Now I just have to decide on which colour I want. Pr-order one here.

With white bedding and a grey throw my bed will certainly need a pop of colour to bring it all together. These dusky pink cushions from H&M will do the trick I think. The patterned one is here and the velvet one is here.

While I was shopping around I came across this Ferm Living grid storage bag that perfectly matches the grid bedding, it's like a match made in heaven. Buy one here.

To hang my coloured-cord lights I would love to have some of these Hay gym hooks on either side of my bed. They come in 2 sizes and lots of colours. Buy them here.

If you need any more storage for the bedroom these lovely grey felt storage baskets are the perfect addition. Buy them in 2 sizes from H&M here.

I have a lovely pink vintage dressing table set for all my bits and bobs although I really love this handmade ring holder on Etsy. This would really add to the look nicely. Buy it here.

Another essential item for the Scandinavian look is a sheepskin, either to use as a rug or drape it over the back of a chair or on your bed. Ikea do great value ones here.

This bedding is something else I am currently lusting after too, although for now this one will have to stay on my wish list. Grey linen bedding is what dreams are made of as it gets better with age. But this set from H&M here.

I hope you like the items I chose for my bedroom product board.
Have a fab weekend! I am looking after a poorly little one on my own, so its a cosy weekend in for us :)

B. xoxo
