I love Scandinavian design and I love candles, so when I got an e-mail today about Ulrich and Christensen I was more than excited to share this wonderful Danish company and their gorgeous eco wood candle holders.
Visit the website here.
The candle holders have aluminium cups and come in 4 different woods, cherry, walnut, wenge and oak and the wood comes from off-cuts from furniture production. I really couldn't think of a more beautiful use for wood off-cuts.
Here are some of my favourites:
Cleverly you can use either tea lights or taper candles, which I think is brilliant!
They also make these stunning ring candle holders. They are created by the ancient art of sand blasting, which gives each one a unique finish. The gaps are hollow which means you can fill them with flowers, fruit, nuts, berries, foliage, whatever you like, making them a beautiful addition to a special occasion like a wedding.
Above it is pictured with the hanger, which would look perfect hung in an archway or on the ceiling of a lovely country house.
