DIY mason jar lights // Best tutorials

I really love mason jar style lights, although I would definitely try my hand at making some if I had the right space for them. I think they would work great over a dining table or in a hallway, which I have neither of. The only thing that would put me off is assembling the actual light fitting part, the lack of tools I own and possibly the cost of all the bits needed. So I was really excited when I stumbled across these new items from IKEA at a really affordable price.

The coloured cord light fitting is a mere £4 and comes in a variety of colours, you can find it here.
The triple cord set is the bargain price of £6 and you can see it on this page. There is a double version too if you prefer.
The hard bit has been done, all that you need to do is attach the jar of your choice.

My favourite tutorial for making one is this one from the A Beach Cottage website as it uses no special tools, just a hammer and nail .

If you would prefer a different style light, there are 25 ideas on this website.

If you are not crafty at all luckily there are plenty available to buy and you can find one at Next.
There are loads on Etsy here, here and here are some examples.
Nuvarti do some lovely ones too, this is one of them.

Have you attempted to make a jam jar light?
B. xoxo
